Colleen Bromsey - Singer/Songwriter/Percussionist/Patsy Cline & Stevie Nicks Tribute Artist
Colleen’s Bio
Colleen was singing karaoke at a local venue when the leader of a local rock band heard her voice and felt her energy and decided she would compliment her cover band nicely. They became fast friends, finding a lot of commonality in the way they grew up and what inspired them. “Susette” later asked Colleen to join her original music band as well so, Colleen found herself singing, writing and playing in two rock bands at the same time! The travel and weekends away from her family became too much and something had to give, and, since it wasn’t going to be her family, Colleen quit the cover band and slowed down long enough to join up with Shyenne, a local talent who, again, inspired her country, funk, and bluesy roots. Colleen’s affinity for Patsy Cline began at an early age. But, it wasn’t until her parents’ 50th wedding anniversary that her family heard just how much of an affinity for music she had. She crooned “Crazy” and “Tennessee Waltz” to her parents, and a room full of 150 of her closest relatives and friends, and to their surprise and delight, she nailed it. Stevie Nicks was another strong influence on Colleen growing up and first listening to Fleetwood Mac’s Rumors album along with Stevies’ solo works through the years. Colleen found her range and ear fit across genres to both country and rock performers well. It was around this time that Colleen heard another local talent, Shyenne, a lady who “sings the blues” like none other and, when Shyenne asked her to join her in this latest venture, Colleen once again found herself inspired, and ready to see where the road will take her.
